Promotions Recognize Expanded Leadership Responsibilities and Contributions to COA and Community Oncology
WASHINGTON, DC, UNITED STATES, September 16, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Community Oncology Alliance (COA) today announced the promotions of Shiela Plasencia to Senior Director of Practice Support and Tracy Havens to Senior Director of Projects and Operations.
The promotions recognize their expanding roles and contributions as COA has continued to grow. Both have taken on greater responsibility for staff, teams, programs, and projects and have become important leaders across the organization.
As Senior Director of Practice Support, Plasencia will continue to lead COA’s supporting community oncology practice administrators and operational leaders, including through the COA Administrators’ Network (CAN). Her broad portfolio also includes practice engagement and education, patient experience initiatives, and the COA Fellows Initiative, which introduces the next generation of oncologists to career opportunities in independent community oncology.
As Senior Director of Projects and Operations, Havens will continue to oversee a broad portfolio that includes organizational operations, major projects, COA’s events team and event portfolio, and IT and web services. She also oversees many of the systems and processes that enable COA’s work, including project management, digital platforms, data infrastructure, and the continued development of COA’s member portal, MyCOA.
